Mermaid's Choice: Smokey Teal FOTD

Hi Everyone... I have not posted any decent look for quite some time because I am just not in the mood. Yesterday was our enrollment and I have not yet received my grades.. I am praying that Lord will pass me. This semester is really hard and stressful for me and this coming semester is even harder. I just have an inkling that its gonna be hard because of the line of professors that I have. In this look, I used the samples that all natural face gave me.. It has a very cute name it is called Mermaid's Choice, hence, the title of this post. I forgot to take picture of its swatch but you could see on the picture that it is very shimmery. Their eyeshadow is very pigmented. One swipe and the color shows up beautifully.

I really think that smokey eyes is the easiest look to do because you just have to blend e/s very well to achieve the look that you want. You can go from natural to bold. So here is a very simple tutorial of this look:

1. Prime your lid. I used The All Natural Face Primer and then apply a matte black eyeshadow all over your lid.



2. Apply teal eyeshadow over the black e/s and blend.



3. Contour your crease with grayish silver eyeshadow and blend some black e/s on the outer v to create more depth to your eyes. Highlight your brow bone with light colored e/s. here, I used a light flesh eyeshadow from my 78 pc. palette.



4. Apply black liner on your upper lid and water line. I lined my lower lash line with brown liner to add more drama. I chose brown liner because it somehow softens the look that the black liner created. Lastly, put on some mascara and falsies. I am using my new falsies from landmark which is really cheap. I got it for only 34.75 pesos!! I want more of these falsies.. I don't feel like I am wearing one and it is so easy to apply. I think it has something to do with it being curled already. hihi

Himalaya Herbals Neem Facial Wash

Hi guys.. I am back.. After indulging into skin care adventurism (which is trying out tons of different products) and unfortunately experiencing break outs and rashes from it, I have found a good facial cleanser. I told you in my last post that I am loving my new facial wash. What is it? It is the Himalaya Herbals Neem Facial Wash. There are two variants of this wash one is the foaming wash and the other is gel type. I got the Foaming Face Wash first. It looks like this when squirted out of the bottle:



I was actually bewildered that it was literally a foaming wash. hihi.. I love this foaming facial wash because it made my skin really squeaky clean. I love the fact that it has a light organic scent reminds me of green tea. In my opinion it is suited for normal to oily skin. It made my skin a bit dry but cleansed my skin well.

This is the other version of the neem facial wash which is called the Purifying Neem Face Wash. I like this better because it is perfect for my very dry skin. It is a very gentle with a very light fragrance almost unscented. It moisturizes while it cleanses my skin. However, I find the foaming one better in cleansing power. I find it mild and perfect for my sensitive skin. Better than celeteque in my opinion.



The best part about this product is that it is made from natural ingredients. It contains turmeric which is known for its antiseptic and healing properties. It is used in treating and preventing acne. Further, it contains Neem oil. Neem tree yields a lot benefits to men. It is probably one of the most promising plant in the world because of its different uses. In India, it is known as the "Divine Tree" because of its proven medicinal properties.It is anti fungal, antibacterial and antiviral. It is used in acne treatment and relieves redness and itchiness too. It also soothes dry skin and lightens pigmentation.

Hair Color Failure + Simple Everyday Look

Hi everyone!! I got a new haircut!! Finally.. However, it does not look different from my last hairstyle.. LOL Nothing new but my hair length already reached my waist so i have to cut it.. I already looked like a freaking witch especially with my jet black hair.. creepy!! I decided to color my hair with garnier golden medium brown.. It was an utter failure.. *SIGH.. I was hoping for a shocking hair color change!! But nothing happened.

My friend told me that i should have chosen the lightest shade because my hair is jet black.. Being dumb with hair coloring.. I should have researched first before doing it on my own.. tsk tsk,,,

Review: ELF Tone Correctiong Concealer

Hi ladies!! I have told you before that I am into concealers.. I bought this concealer in a whim after watching a youtube review about it and I also found that Nikki of askmewhats also made a great review about this product. I was really intrigued with it so I decided to give it a try.



Price: 129.75 pesos in the Philippines/ 1$ in some countries

This is my first ever liquid concealer. I was never a fan of liquid concealers.. In my honest opinion, I think cream concealers gives the best coverage and they are easier to blend. I got mine in apricot beige or fair. The SA told this was the lightest.. Here in the Phils., I only saw three shades which are fair,light and medium but when I visited ELF's website they have 7 shades!! WOW!! That's a lot of shades to choose from. This may not be as good as elianto's cream concealer but this concealer never leaves my makeup kit. Wonder why?Here are some few good points about this concealer...

What I love about it:

• I am in love with the orangey scent!! I find it addicting.. LOL
• I love the wand type applicator. The applicator makes it easier for me to control the amount of product that I use.
  
• This concealer is very easy to blend.
  
• The coverage is sheer-light but somehow buildable.
• Perfect for everyday wear especially to those who does not have super dark eye bags.
• Covers minor imperfections and redness.
  
• What I really love about this concealer is that it is perfect for touch ups! I This is a miracle remedy when my elianto concealer gets washed out at the end of the day. It instantly brighten my tired eyes.n my case, it does not cake whenever I layer it over my foundation when I am in school or elsewhere.
• Very cheap ( I love affordable products!!)

Products Boo-Boo's:
(What I do not like about this Product)

• I only have one thing to dislike about this concealer... If you have really dark under eyes like me, the product's coverage is not that good. I wore it to school once with 2 layers of it underneath my eyes.. My GUY classmate out of the blue commented that I look tired and my eye bags are really conspicuous!! hahahha Thereafter, I decided not to use it as a concealer under my eyes whenever I did not have 8 full hours of sleep. Hihi

Apricot Beige or Fair looks orange when applied on my skin but blends well afterwards and the orangeness disappear after I sweep some powder over it.

^^ With ELF concealer.. Could you see the difference? It minimized the lines under my eyes and it brightened my tired eyes.
